xperia X1

Sony

The xperia X1 is a very good phone, it is feature packed, and as a result the battery life is not too good.  It also has a strange charging problem, you can leave it charging overnight and it the morning the battery is still dead. You need to remove the battery for 30 mins and then put it back in. Then the leave the X1 plugged into a mains charger to fully charge it. The X1 might not seem to be charging at first but within 10 minutes of connecting to the mains you should see a red led flashing.  Apart from this really anoying problem I am really happy with my X1.

Terrible. Terrible. Nightmare. I have the X1 for a week and I'm so frustrated. Not user friendly. not intuitive. Not for me!

The X1 has terrible reception, I see vodafone have abandoned it in the UK, I seriously suggest that anyone stuck with an x1 demands a refund or an alternative handset.

My X1 was great in the first week, by the end of the first month I was starting to notice serious problems and 6 months on I am so annoyed that I took out an 18 month contract on this handset. Battery life is the worst ever, I have had a few blackberrys and nokias in the last 5 years, they have been much better than the x1. Usability is poor, screen too small, easily broken(!) and once broken the x1 is useless.

I am having problems with the X1. With any other phone id always have excellent reception at home and around town but with this phone its rubbish, stuggle to get two bars with dropouts often. There is clearly a problem with this phone as its been documented all round the web now. Although i'm on O2, many voda users are experiencing the same thing.

Great phone, Mac OS X users should use "The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile" from Mark/Space, Inc. www.markspace.com - I downloaded lots of trial versions of software to get the sony x1 to sync with my mac, and I found that the "The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile" was the best for use with the X1
