When you want to sign up, you can do it online. When you want to cancel, you have to call...and guess what? They either put you in a never ending phone trap, or they just pick up the phone and ignore you. My vonage did not work from day one!!! When I tried to call customer service, I always seemed to end up getting someone with a horrible accent (If you want to fix a problem, it helps if you both speak and understand the same language)on the other end who had absolutely NO idea how to fix the problem. Their only solutions involved asking me to reset the router. When I said I did, they would sound dumbfounded, and then say "hmmm, try it again", or put me on hold until I had no choice but to hang up. I've used alot of laptops and PCs and this one does stand out from the pile but like everybodys said the batter is unforgivable way to short, its not really a laptop, I only ever use it so I can sit in my living room and its always pluged in to the wall. But all faults aside its an amazing laptop, I'm typing this review on one now! It would get 10 out of 10 but because of the batter I give it 8, so if you want an unportable laptop like a smaller desktop go for this it is very good. awsomme notebook, batery life, with the brightness turned right down, can last no more than half an hour, but when plugged in, performance is astonishing when gaming and perfoming other demanding processes, 9/10 due to the battery life

Ive a problem with the power supply.When its plugged into the wall.It will suddenly go to the battery supply.Once it does this i have to shutdown an start up again for the adapter to kick back in.Very annoying!!! Not sure what the problem is.

had this acer aspire 1670 now for 2 years it keeps freezing and the screen is not very good i am looking to buy another laptop at the moment.

Had this laptop for 4 years and it never froze for me but the only problem that i had was it got dust in side all the air invents so i thought yesterday i should just try to blow the dust out of the air invents so i did for like an hour and it started working again it never overheats now.

I have been using one for 3 years now - always more of a portable desktop than a truly mobile laptop (due to battery size and its weight). It does need cleaning out ever 6 months or so but that's easy. I mostly use mine for video editing now (Sony vegas) and have had to network it up to an external hard disk to cope with size of data but it more than keeps up with the job - and you can run a second screen for previews of video. Am going to put in more memory soon to take it to 2GB. Due to the graphics card it won't be any use for newer games - it did Half Life 2 great! I'm glad I spent the extra when I first bought it to purchase something with 3.2GHZ.
